Call for papers
The willingness to retake old and indicate new directions has always been a central part of the raison d'être of scientific inquiry. Phenomena such as language teaching and researching are no exception to this rule. However, the emergence of novelties in the study and teaching of language is possible only by building on the solid foundations of what has already been achieved. This is actually where inspiration originates and exploration begins – on the grounds of and in the gaps between the portions of the scientific legacy stemming from the contributions of other scholars.
With a view to the above, the aim of this conference is to bring together researchers in the fields of linguistics, translation and teaching to share their research achievements, discuss topics of interest and exchange views on various aspects of English language studies.

While priority will be given to research-based contributions on these themes, other contributions are also welcome. The abstract word limit is 300 words.
The abstract submission deadline (extended) is 10 March 2017.
Acceptance notifications will be sent by 15 March 2017.

- language acquisition and learning in a variety of contexts,
- manifestations of linguistic creativity in speech, writing and translation,
- translational problems and solutions of different genres of texts,
- typical and atypical conventions of Academic Discourse,
- synchronic and diachronic analyses of discourse phenomena,
- nuances of communicating through English as a lingua franca (ELF).
